Remote rock shore fishing is run-and-gun style — a backpack loaded with lures and minimal gear, working your way along Ishigaki's hidden coastline. Beyond a jungle trail where you'll think "can we really get there?", a special spot known only to Hamachan opens up. Nobody else in sight. In waters with almost zero fishing pressure, GT, bluefin trevally, and emperor fish swim without caution.
The greatest appeal of this tour is standing alone with Hamachan in the middle of raw nature. After pushing through subtropical jungle and carefully descending a cliff, you find yourself on a wave-splashed rocky shore with nothing but empty ocean ahead. The explosion when a popper hits the surface, the jolt when a metal jig gets hammered — arriving here on your own feet and fighting fish under your own power is a dimension beyond pier or boat fishing.
Hamachan is an islander who knows every corner of Ishigaki. Route selection, footing checks, tide calculations — he has it all covered. Floating game vests, grip-sole shoes, and other safety gear are provided. Even first-time rock shore anglers can take on the challenge with confidence. Tour Itinerary
- Meet & Briefing (20 min) - Check and fit safety gear. Share the day's tide, wind, and target species. Suit up with floating vest and grip shoes.
- Trek to the Hidden Shore (30-60 min) - Follow a route only Hamachan knows through jungle and rocks to reach an untouched rocky shore. The trek itself is an adventure.
- Rock Shore Lure Fishing (120-180 min) - Target GT, bluefin trevally, and emperor fish with poppers, metal jigs, and minnows. Run-and-gun across multiple spots.
- Lunch Break (30 min) - Refuel on the rocks with ocean breeze and Hamachan's handmade island rice balls.
- Return, Photos & Farewell - Head back safely. Snap commemorative photos with your catch and the scenery. Photo data sent later.
